Nearly all of us have a small collection of one type or another. And those collections vary considerably. So we designed a display case that looks great; goes together quickly; and, most importantly, can be customized easily to fit any collection. For lightweight collectibles that can be attached with adhesives or fine thread, build the case without dividers, as shown at right. For heavier items requiring a little more support, build dividers like those shown. We have a new way to display the Lithophane Arts Flat Panel. The Shadow Box is designed to hang on a wall, sit upright or lean back on it's integrated easel for any room of the house or office. WOW how great.First invented in France in 1827, a LITHOPHANE ("Vision In Stone") is a porcelain engraving that virtually comes alive when illuminated from behind. The image is created by a panel of different thicknesses of translucent, kiln-fired porcelain. A breathtakingly detailed picture in warm sepia tones emerge when lit. These illuminated artworks are so detailed, that they are sometimes mistaken for photographs.
